Special Delivery! Walnut & Maple Stereo Console
March started with a bang! Ryan and I have been working for months on this special commissioned stereo console, and we were so happy to finally see it sitting proudly in the residence of our favorite VIPs, Mark & Sabina. My favorite feature is the maple grill. The thin slats interlock and are tension fit into the walnut frame. The whole piece sits over a radiator, so it had to have plenty of air flow throughout. Of all the pieces we have made together, this was by far the most challenging and satisfying to build. I am so proud of the design and the elegant curves that are sprinkled throughout the piece.
Attention Yarn Lovers!
Many of you know that after woodworking all day, I sit down at night to knit. If you have attended any of my fall/winter shows you probably know that I am absolutely obsessed with the technique of Brioche knitting. I am excited to finally announce that I have been designing scarf patterns and putting together kits using Malabrigo Arroyo yarn. The kits are available on my website under the header "Knitting".
I have 2 patterns so far. The ABC Scarf is an extra long striped scarf that looks as good on the back side as it does on the front. It is perfect for anyone who knows how to knit and purl. The second pattern is the ZigZag Scarf. It is a great pattern for someone who has learned the basics of 2 color Brioche knitting and is looking for a fun and easy-ish project. Patterns are available to download on their own, or you can purchase a kit and get the pattern for free. Choose from 11 colors of gorgeous Malabrigo Arroyo yarn (100% merino wool).

WHAT'S IN THE WORKSHOP:
It's a blast from the past! When our kids were little, I used to make fabric collages. Now that my kids are grown, I find myself circling back to the good old days for inspiration. I have created a new series of wooden framed collages. I intend to hang them in a grid format to resemble a wooden quilt. Stop by my booth this weekend at Art in the Burg to see the complete installation. Eventually these framed collages will be available on my website. That reminds me, you can now select "Local pick up" from the drop down menu at checkout to avoid shipping fees - yay!

That's a wrap on this one! Please reach out to me through the website if you have any questions or if there is something special I can do for you!
